In the first paper examine three different ethnicities described in the text (or any others that you want to research online and include) and the following family types- those living in poverty, gay-lesbian families, teen families and grandparent-headed families.  Give specific characteristics of these groups and the issues that they have to deal with.  For example, grandparents are older, are usually on a fixed income, may be in bad health, etc.  Tell how their children’s education might be impacted because of their specific and unique characteristics. So you are going to tell me about seven families: three different ethnic groups and four types of families.  You may choose which ethnic groups you research.  I have chosen the family types I want you to research.
