The personal values of the target audience (or society, in the whole) are expressed or commented upon in the arts of that location and time. For example, the Greeks wrote plays about their gods and heroes in which the beliefs of the Greek people of that time were addressed. Looking at the theatre, film, or television fiction (not reality TV since this is supposedly not scripted), what does our art indicate about us? Focus on the values being presented in the play, movie, or TV series. Two hundred years from now, what will people think about our society? Which values will they associate with the people of the 20th and 21st centuries in America?
