Fairy Tales

For this assignment, choose a topic in the fairy tales or picture books that has been interesting you during class discussions and your reading. This is your opportunity to examine it more fully.

I expect that you have a thesis (focus) that you are able to examine throughout your paper. For example, if you are interested in the cautionary tales, you could choose two or three tales that fit the characteristics (warning, misbehavior, punishment—and sometimes redemption) and examine how those stories are cautionary tales. You could look at the types of characters or types of story lines.
