Topic: Extent of strategic planning & management followed by the organization
Order Description
Objective
The specific objective of the research is to study (1) the extent of strategic planning & management followed by the organization and (2) the intensity with which the process is pursued by the firm.
Its specific aim is to assess the ‘coverage’ and ‘intensity’ of the strategic planning and management process, if any, going on at the chosen company.
The data required for the study will be gathered directly from the officials of the organization who can provide information about the strategic planning process, if any, in the organization. Data will be gathered through direct interviews using the attached questionnaire: ‘Strategic Planning & Management Process – Self-assessment Questionnaire for Organizations’
The report will describe (1) the context of the research company, (2) the research process and methods used, (3) analysis and interpretation of the data, and (4) the findings from the study.
In more detailed terms, the report will describe:
• The extent (areas) of strategic planning done in the organizations under study (in terms of the six areas shown above) and
• The intensity (high, medium or low) with which each area of the strategic planning process is practiced by the firm.
Based on the study (and further discussion of the findings with the company officials), the group will identify the areas of “gap” in the strategic planning/management processes of the firm. When completed the organizational study should be able to provide research-based recommendations to the firm for improving the strategic planning and management processes.
The survey sheet and results will be attached.
