How to set out this assignment: In keeping with the topic’s philosophy of creative self-expression, there is no prescribed way to set out this assignment. A framework of possible ways to explore can be found on the next page. Things to consider: The evidence you present must show depth, analytic thought, creativity & engagement with the “big ideas” explored in this topic. APA 6th edition referencing is to be used. Use a variety of educational materials. P.S. For further information about the assessment please refer to the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhwuwzRMvZY&feature=youtu.be. Most importantly, make connection between the following materials: Art Curriculum and the Early Years Learning Framework (discuss a broad understanding of the expressive arts from 0 – 8 years old). Then choose an age group (3 – 4 years old; preschool/kindergarten). Further, discuss how does the Arts (in particular music) influence the selected age group (3-4 years old) development of sense of self (e.g. who am I in terms of cultural identity) and make connections to the “Big idea”. Lastly, discuss how the music session plan could be integrated into other areas of the Arts (e.g. visual arts, drama, dance, digital media) P.S. Make sure you address the criteria of the assignment (refer to the marking guide file for the criteria)
