EXPORT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

–You will pick 1 exportable product – target market and prepare the complete export plan including documentation and regulatory compliance as if actually exporting the product

The Project (+ Presentation) forms an important part of the course. You will need to make an Export Plan covering all 4 domains (modules) of the course with the required documentation. Pick and describe an exportable product from the US and say why it is interesting to you. It can be a company that is not exporting right now, but you believe it has export potential. It is useful to pick a company you know about; or even a prospective employer.

1. INTRODUCTION: show why you picked the product and the country(ies) that you did.
2. MANAGEMENT: Describe your company and the reason to export.
3. MARKETING: describe the export market and why you chose it; discuss the mafrket model
4. FINANCE: describe the export finance aspects and how you expect to receive payment.
5. LOGISTICS: discuss the modes of transportation, payment, and all the regulations involved and how you will handle it.
