Journalism, mass media and communication
How has the study of media and communications developed over the last century?
Assessment: an individual 1,500 word essay.
In answering this question you must pay attention to the following guidance:
1) Your essay must make reference to ALL of the key theoretical approaches that have been discussed on the module (i.e. Marxism, Cultural Studies, Feminism, Structuralism, Subcultural Theory and Postmodernism).
2) You should critically analyse these developments not just describe them.
3) Your essay should use the Harvard referencing system and contain a full bibliography.

N.B. Your bibliography IS NOT included in the word count.

It is also a requirement to reference correctly. There will be a detrimental impact to your result if you fail to comply with the requirements.
