Each student has to write a comprehensive research paper on the global impact of Information and Communication Technologies in the areas of economies, trade, governance, international trade (including outsourcing),and on the managerial practices of organizations.

The first part of the paper should include a review of the 6 countries presented in the class. The review should identify the differences, and commonalities among these countries and some broad interpretations about the nature of ICT and their economic / social development. It should be an overall analysis of all the 6 countries and should not be country by country review.

The second part of the paper should cover the global impact of Information and Communication Technologies in the areas of economies, trade, governance, international trade (including outsourcing),and on the managerial practices of organizations. You can refer to the country reports as examples. You should include recommendations to the government leaders on the information and communications technologies strategy. The focus should be on how information technologies could be used to improve the economic and social conditions of the countries in the region. In addition to the other information, students should use the papers presented and discussed in the class to prepare this research paper.

The paper should be well organized into sections.

Expected length of the paper: Ten to twelve pages.
