3. Epistemology: (Rationalism vs Empiricism) Empiricism is the theory of knowledge–that is the group of theories which attempt to account for how it is possible for us to have knowledge. Two major epistemological theories are Rationalism and Empiricism. Rationalism holds that that the source of knowledge is reason, or the mind. Empiricism holds that the source of knowledge is external sense impressions, or observation. So, for this paper, you will compare René Descartes’s
