1- Write a research paper on a law, jurisprudence, or legal policy topic of your choice. I expect your topic to be critical or analytical in nature, not a book report. Take a hard, focused look at an issue and do some analysis. The paper should demonstrate original thought on the topic and include citation/analysis of all relevant primary (Constitution, State/Federal code or cases, etc) and secondary (books, articles, websites, etc) sources in accord with the citation guide at Appendix B. As in all legal writing, critical thinking is the key to success.

Also if possible the language you will be using should not be very professional since i am an international student and English is not my first language

2-All papers must be typed in Times New Roman 12 point font, double-spaced with 1 inch margins, and sequential page numbers on the bottom right of each page of text. Each paper will also include a cover page (not counted in your page numbers) displaying your name, “CJUS 401,” and the paper title. None of the information on the cover page should appear on your text pages. Your thesis statement should be clearly identified in bold face print within the text. This is an upper level course so I expect more. To that end, spelling and grammar count as does your ability to strictly follow these directions. Your final paper should contain sequentially numbered footnotes formatted according to the legal citation guide available on D2L. Footnotes must be in Times New Roman 10 point font and single-spaced with a space between each one. Do not include a bibliography as properly documented footnotes serve that purpose. Mistakes will have an exponentially detrimental effect that could reduce your grade by a full letter
