Much of this course has dealt with historical analysis. However, for your final assignment, I would like for you all to use your imaginations, and think about the future, think about what lies ahead. For this assignment, I would like for you to write a response to the following questions/prompts:

1. If you were to be part of a group that was to create a Black city in the future, what are three things that would be a part of your city’s political philosophy that would be in line with cultivating an Afrikan/African worldview as articulated by Karanja Keita Carroll? Please explain why and how.

2. How would your future Black city address the topics of state surveillance and Black LivesMatter?

3. In your conclusion, please reflect on what this assignment, and ultimately this course, has illuminated for you about Black politics in cities, as well as fundamentally, what you will take away from this course.
