Use They-Say I Say format of critical reading to describe Tough’s main supporting points in pages 81-95 and how they connect to one another. What is Tough trying to prove? What key terms and research studies does Tough use in this set of pages? What is the importance of each supporting point (major story or research study) in Tough building the logic of his overall point? How does he use comparison and contrast, or cause and effect, to make his points?
Response: how do these studies, schools, and persons connect to or differ from your own observations in the world? Use at least 2 quotations sandwiches you analyze with TS, IS quotation template analysis format. You may read the Critical Reading questions in this week’s folder to help you get at the main points.
