1) Kant was an ardent supporter of the French Revolution until censorship was introduced under the Jacobin Terror. Kant was a life-time supporter of republicanism, but less enthusiastic about democracy as a ‘majority rule’ because he believed the majority of the population still lacked the ability to think rationally. What would be the ideal politics for Kant? Why do you think he opposed the censorship and simple majority rule?

2) What would be the examples of possible disagreements in a society governed by the Kantian ethics? Discuss with a specific example.
