Topic: The Public’s Perception of the DNP
Points: The elevator speech is 10 points and is worth 10% of your grade and the presentation of the speech is 10 points and worth 10% of your grade
Due Date: Your speech is due by 11:59pm on Thursday, April 7, 2016 (upload your speech into the Dropbox)
Purpose: To develop skill in stating a position on an issue concisely and convincingly
Content: Prepare an elevator speech about the assigned topic: The Public’s Perception of the DNP. Your speech should be no more than 100 words and should address each of the evaluation criteria listed below on the grading rubric.
Presentation: You will present your elevator speech to your classmates on Thursday, April 14, 2016 (Week 13). Presentation of your speech accounts for 10% of your grade. You do not have to have your speech fully memorized, but you are expected to engage with the audience by using eye contact. You may use a cue-card, but you should not simply read your speech from your cue-card.
