EKG Interpretation Sinus Arrhythmia

EKG Interpretation Sinus Arrhythmia

Order Description

You should conduct research on the topic of discussion and use this research to support your answers. You can use Internet articles, journals, text books, etc. In

fact, I strongly recommend that you utilize the APUS Online Library for your research as they offer a plethora of reliable and pertinent research sources. You may

access the Online Library by clicking on the “Library” link on the menu bar to the left inside the electronic classroom. However, NEVER use Wikipedia for your research

as anyone can alter the information on this site making it a poor source of accurate information. Be sure to list your references at the end of your post, include in-

text citations where applicable, and be sure that both are in APA format.

The 3-lead EKG is a very common non-invasive method of assessing the cardiovascular system. For this week’s discussion, review the the common EKG rhythms at

http://skillstat.com/tools/ecg-simulator (select “PREP” at the bottom of the page) and select one rhythm to discuss in detail.

Use the name of the rhythm as the title of your forum post. You cannot use a rhythm that one of your classmates has already used as a topic for their initial forum

post.

First, describe the rhythm. Use the “Steps in ‘Reading’ the ECG” from chapter 10 of your text as a guide. Next, relate the cardiac conduction events of this rhythm to

the mechanical events of the heart. Put another way, how does this rhythm affect the normal cardiac cycle? Finally, put the rhythm in context and discuss the clinical

significance of this rhythm. Does it require treatment? Is it fatal?
