Identify a minimum of three significant legal issues that you believe are critical and which have or have had a major impact on public schools in a positive or negative manner. You will need to provide the background of the statutes, laws, judicial decisions, policies, etc. that led to or established the legal issues you deem to be critical for the success or lack of success of public schools. Your report needs to provide the authority for the legal issues identified and should state why you believe the matter is an important issue for public schools. You may take a positive or negative stance on a particular issue, but you must research and find credible, academic authorities that support your position (either positive or negative). You have the option to research and report that public schools would be more successful if certain requirements, laws, policies, etc. were repealed. Your report may contain both positive and negative legal issues.
