Early TV Memories Interview

paper describing what you learned from interviewing a relative who is older than you (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.) about his or her earliest memories of television in the United States. If you do not have a relative with memories of television in the United States, you may interview an older friend who does. The goal of this assignment is to learn how earlier generations used television and it impacted their lives.

Your interview should include the following topics:

Television technology of the time

Favorite television programs of the era

How television was used by your relative’s family

Memories of historical events covered by television

How your interview subject thinks television impacted society during his or her era

Differences between today’s television and television remembered by your relative

Format: Papers must be typed, double-spaced with one-inch margins on all four sides of 8 ½ by 11 inch paper, and stapled. Font size must be 12 point. Do not put your paper in a folder, cover or binder. Correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar are expected.
