According to the DEC/NAEYC joint position statement on early childhood inclusion, collaboration among key stakeholders, including families, practitioners, specialists, and administrators, is a cornerstone for implementing high-quality early childhood inclusion. Co-constructed relationships is defined as providing families with social support and promoting family empowerment. Co-constructed relationships is an essential component to developing effective partnerships with families. For this assignment, develop a checklist that preschool teachers can use to assess the effectiveness of policies and practices designed to support co-constructed relationships. When creating your checklist, include the following:
Provide a statement highlighting the importance of co-constructed relationships in high-quality, inclusive services.
State the overall goals of policies and practices that support social support.
State the overall goals of policies and practices that support family empowerment.
Include a checklist of at least 6 policies and practices that support co-construction, including those targeted toward social support and promoting family empowerment.

ABC Early Childhood Center is looking for qualified teaching interns! This is a wonderful opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in the field of early childhood education before embarking on your career. If you are dedicated, passionate, and enthusiastic about working with young children, we want to hear from you! In order to apply for this internship, you will need to submit your responses to the points addressed below in a Word document. Please make sure that each of your responses is organized under the appropriate subheading.

Subheading 2: My Philosophy

• Theory: Discuss your beliefs about how young children learn. Explain which theory(ies) you most connect with in regard to children’s learning.
• Approach to Teaching: Explain which teaching approach (Montessori, Reggio, etc.) you most align with.
• Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP): Explain what the term developmentally appropriate practice means to you.

Subheading 3: My Practice

• Developmental Domains: Describe the developmental domains in which you have the strongest foundation. Discuss how this internship experience would strengthen your understanding of developmental domains. Please be specific.
• Home-School Partnerships: Discuss your role in developing strong home-school partnerships. Provide specific examples of strategies you would use. Discuss how this internship experience would strengthen your ability to develop home-school partnerships.
• Trends/Issues: Analyze one current or historical trend/issue in ECE by explaining its influence and impact on the field. Discuss how this internship experience would strengthen your understanding of this trend or issue.
• NAEYC: Summarize how you would uphold NAEYC’s Professional Preparation Standards throughout your internship.

Subheading 4: Additional Resources

• Throughout the course, you have utilized different resources to support your thinking in the discussion forums and when working on your assignments. Include at least three resources that you feel are beneficial to you as you grow as an early childhood educator within this section. Remember these resources are different than the ones you included in your references section as they were not cited directly throughout your application. The resources included in this section might be links to helpful websites, activities you have found that you would like to use in your future classroom, or scholarly resources.

Subheading 5: References

• Include APA-formatted citations for all sources used throughout your application (see “Final Project Requirements” below for more information).

Final Project requirements:

a. Length and Organization: Your responses must thoroughly address each bulleted topic listed above. Each topic should be addressed within its own textbox with the topic heading at the top of the box.
b. Design: In order to enhance your application and make it visually appealing:
o Include at least one picture of yourself within your Profile section and at least one relevant image (picture or graphic) per section.
o Other helpful hints:
 Include best practices for visual design (readable font size, font color, appropriate image size and clarity).
