The dissertation should contain a maximum of 12,000 words, not including appendices and the bibliography, with a margin of minus 5%. The bibliography/reference list at the end of the dissertation, appendices and references in the text are excluded from the word limit. However, the word limit DOES include cover pages, table of contents, abstract and tables including text.
