Research Assignment: Students are required to submit a thorough analysis of their selected border security topic. They will discuss what their research has found in relation to their purpose of study (question which the student will try to answer through a discussion of the research). This will include a discussion on which nations are involved, their respective security apparatuses and any private (legal or otherwise) security organization or subnational group operating in the area. At the end of their assignments students will also address how this problem affects the security of the region and discuss some of the potential steps that can be taken to improve border security.  All academic terminology and sources including data and statistics must be utilized using APA (including a bibliography).
