Option 1:
Write the answers to the questions (see below) in a Word document, and then submit your answers to your instructor.
Option 2:
Take some notes regarding the items below, and then schedule a Skypeconversation with your instructor to discuss your ideas and provideexamples of the identified concepts. Contact your instructor via email,as early as possible in the week to inform her or him regarding how youwould like to complete this activity. If you chose the second option, besure to schedule the meeting with your instructor before the due date, Sunday by 11:59 p.m. (AZ time).
- Briefly summarize the history of the profession: please addressspecific milestones in the profession. You can use the timeline (e.g.,60s, 70s, 80s) to organize your presentation or organize yourpresentation around several key names and events in the profession(e.g., names of prominent figures in the field).
- Provide an original example (based on nature, a family, a community,etc.,) illustrating what systems thinkers mean when they talk about‘homeostasis’ (Chabot, 175), and an ‘identified patient’ (Chabot, 175)

- Provide a meaningful and clear original example illustrating what itmeans when systems theorists state that a group is more than the sum ofits parts (referred to by Chabot on page 180)
- Provide a meaningful and clear original example that illustrates any systemic concept that was touched upon in these readings
We are looking to assess your understanding of the history of the MFTprofession and your beginning understanding of some basic systemicconcepts. So approach this activity as if you were trying to explainthis to someone who has no understanding of systems and is requestingyour help.
Length: 2-3 pages
Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideasand concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughtsand insights relating directly to this topic. Your response shouldreflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.
