Order Description
Choose one of the following art styles:

Abstract Expressionism (or any mid-20th century abstract painting or sculpture);

Pop Art

Op Art

Minimalism

Conceptualism

From the style you’ve chosen, find one artist and one (maybe two if you’d like) example of his/her work. Give us, in a well-written and thorough half-page (if not more), a few biographical sentences, followed by a detailed history and analysis of that work. I’d prefer it if you did NOT glean your work from the text. Use the Web and do some searching. There are some amazing mid-20th century artists and thousands of great works. The idea here is that you’re each educating the class about these movements and styles, and expanding what you’ve already learned from a simple undergraduate survey text.
