Left Foot:  2 degrees inversion

Base of Support: Standing left foot in front of right, shoulder width apart, approximately 22” from front heel to toe of back foot : 11×22 or  242 square inches total

Description of Movements:  Note how the karateka’ has his hips to the target, keeping his stance loose.  His guard is low, constantly keeping an eye on the target.

This is the starting phase of the movement.

Proper Techniques & Flaws in this Performance:  Ideally the guard that protects the body from blows should be held a bit higher, his stance is a tad bit  too relaxed,

also his chin is up high, during an attack his chin should be kept low to his body, maximizing his view while also protecting himself from strikes. His center of

gravity also appears to be slightly forward, in karate all stances try to maintain the center of gravity low and centered usually having equal weight distributed to

both legs. His left shoulder has an excess of lateral flexion,  usually the arms should be kept in neutral rotation but with flexion at elbow n extension at shoulder.

His right arm is still in a good position. His right leg has external rotation, this helps make a more stable base to stand in. His left leg has leg has internal

rotation. His neck is still neutral to the rest of his body, he still has slight rotation at hips to left side, this is to maintain position in stance, this way he can

face his body towards his target.
