Assessment Item No. 1 Case Study Report.
1500-2000 words minimum of 15 academic references
Description: Students will undertake an examination of the responses to a complex event of their own choosing.
For example: Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, the Fukushima Nuclear Accident/Great Eastern Japan Earthquake.
This assessment item is meant to demonstrate your analytical abilities, an understanding of the basic principles and the ability to address the issues.
A critical assessment of the management of an incident should be prepared including analysis of:
1. the response endeavor;
2. the political and communication implications of the event; and
3. how lessons identified from the event could be incorporated into organizational change at all levels.
