Deming and Crosby Theories
Paper details:
Paper 2 Quality improvement comes in many forms and has many proponents. Deming and Crosby theories are most widely used in quality improvement and in quality management. Chapter 6 (Raheja) covers both the theories. What are the major differences between Deming’s theory of profound knowledge and Crosby’s theory for zero defects? Which one is more suited for healthcare? Justify your answer. Do you think hospitals have succeeded in empowering employees on any of these? Or, is there is still a fear of blame?
