Delinquency and Criminal Justice
Activity Description

Acts of delinquency can take several forms, from loitering, fighting, and harassing people, to malicious texting and bullying. As a scholar in criminal justice, write an article for the college newspaper about juvenile delinquency in your community. Be sure address the following:

Define and characterize various forms of delinquency. Are these acts choices or inherent traits? Explain your reasoning and provide examples.
Identify and assess current forms of delinquent behavior specifically impacting your community.
Determine how your community responds to juvenile delinquency.
Identify law enforcement’s efforts to reduce juvenile delinquency.

If this information is not readily available in your own community, select another entity (town, city, etc.) to research in order to fulfill the assignment requirements.

Support your article with a minimum of five scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages

Your article should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards
