Decentralization of the National Emergency and Resilience Communication plan

Prepare a 15–20 minute PowerPoint presentation based on your Applied Research Project. Summarize the essential content of your research project. In the spirit of collaboration, your colleagues will get a chance to ask you questions.

Based on the size of our class, we will need to reduce the length of time to about 8-10 minutes per presentation. I have randomly assigned each of you to a unit seminar for your presentation. You will create your PowerPoint and upload it into the Doc Sharing folder of the course room (select to share the file with the Entire Class) prior to your scheduled presentation. If you have it uploaded by 9:00 pm ET on the Tuesday before your scheduled presentation, I will load it into the seminar itself so that we can all view it during your presentation. Otherwise, your classmates will need to be able to access it through the Doc Sharing folder at the time of the seminar. Note that your participation grade will be based upon your preparedness and the presentation for your assigned seminar, as well as your comments and contributions made to your peers while they present. If you have any questions please let me know. These should be simple and brief (about 5-8 slides with basic information regarding your Capstone Project and your progress to date – this will vary among you based on the unit in which you present), and the idea is simply to share your Capstone Projects with your peers and ask one another questions. Please do not add notes, graphics or designs to the slides, as I will need to upload them into a single presentation for the actual seminar and the site can get overloaded easily. Points will be deducted if these are included, as it will require me to modify your presentations myself prior to uploading them into the seminar.

If you are unable to attend the seminar at which you are scheduled to present, you will still be required to submit your presentation to the Doc Sharing folder prior to the seminar for which you are scheduled, and complete the alternate assignment by the end of the respective unit to receive credit
