Your debate folder will need to contain all of the research conducted for the debate. All sources and images should be cited in MLA format. All documents should be in MLA format. The goal of the debate folder is create a research document that is the equivalent of a five page essay.

Debate Format
Every team is responsible for researching the pros and cons of their topic. Every team member should be able to debate the pros and cons of their topic. Each debate will have three rounds.

1. Opening statement- 2 minutes.

2. Rebuttal statement- 2 minutes.

3. Closing statement- 2 minutes.

4. Team members will be chosen at random for each round.

5. Pro or con will be decided at random before the round begins.

6. Images may used in the debate.
