You are to assume you work for a U.S.-based company that sells a product of your choice. Please make sure you identify the product! You have been assigned to a new project: the development of a new market. You must create a culture briefing for your company to use to effectively enter that market. Essentially you will pick a country and research the country. The paper needs to be no more than 7 pages plus a cover sheet and Reference page. It is a little longer than the rest, so give yourself extra time to work on it.
This report will include, at a minimum, discussions of the country’s:
location,
history,
size,
political system,
economic system,
language,
traditions,
values and ethics,
lifestyles,
cultural characteristics, and
business practices
Also provide tips for leading/managing both employees and customers in this country, plus a summative conclusion that underscores what is most important to remember about leading in this country.
The purpose of this paper is to brief colleagues who will be leading a new venture for your firm in this country. Your focus should be on the “practical”—what they need to know to be successful.
