Assessment criteria;

– demonstrate ability to apply relevant analytical tools to readings of dance on screen.
-demonstrate an understand of the interactions between the codes and conventions of film/ video.
-demonstrate awareness and understanding of contemporary experiments and debates around dance on screen.
-full acknowledgement and referencing of all source materials and a complete bibliography and filmography.

with the analysis do not go into to much detail on the dance side of it but more with the actual camera actions. e.g.. panning or zooming in and out of shots.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT IF YOURE USING A QUOTE FROM A BOOK DONT FORGET TO USE QUOTATION MARKS.

A 2000 words essay on “The cabin in the woods”. Demonstrate through a close analysis of a five minute sequence the distinctive use that “cabin in the woods” makes of generic conventions, briefly discussing the ways in which this format enables the film to deal with specific concern or issues.
