AS1 – TAKING OFF AND BILL OF QUANTITIES- SUBSTRUCTURE (50% of Module marks)

Countryside Properties Ltd is a popular developer for affordable housebuilding in the UK. They have recently awarded the ‘Regeneration North’ residential project, located in Gateacre, Liverpool. This new development comprises of a range of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom detached and semi-detached homes (Project information are available under ‘Assignment’ section on BB). You are to assume the role of a quantity surveyor for this project and your company has requested you to
a)Prepare a detailed quantity take-off for the substructure of LONGFORD house
b)Prepare and price a firm BoQ for substructure of LONGFORD house type.

•Abstracting the measured quantities in to BoQ (10%)
•Prepare a firm BoQ based on measured items (20%)
•Price the bill items using industry standards (price books)
