Task: Competition Law and Cyberspace/Knowledge Economy
i.e. antitrust issues in Microsoft and Google cases; impacts of the Internet on competition laws

Criteria: Marks will be based on the following criteria:

(1) whether the student has a working knowledge and
understanding of the essay topic;

(2) whether the student is able to identify issues, relevant law,
and apply the law to the essay topic; and

(3) whether the student develops a sustained thesis or
overall argument,

(4) whether the student develops coherent and persuasive arguments, and draws reasoned and logical conclusions;

(5) whether the student demonstrates a broader knowledge (background reading), critical analysis, evaluation and reflection of at least some of the issues involved, rather than simply summarizing, restating or applying the law;

(6) whether the essay is
well structured and organised;

(7) whether the essay is referenced properly in accordance with the
faculty’s preferred style (as set out in the Australian Guide to Legal Citation, 3nd ed, 2010)

Notes:

1. Footnotes are not calculated in the number of words.

2. You must use footnotes.

3.You should follow Australian Guide to Legal Citation style guide.

4. Please you must be divided each type of sources for example, books, journal articles, case study and case law.
