Compare/Contrast Change/Transformation in the works of Ovid’s story of “Apollo and Daphne” and Kafka’s “Metamorphosis”
Prompt: A 3-4 page (1,000-1,500 word) polished analysis of two texts (by two different authors). I have selected Ovid’s story of “Apollo and Daphne” and Kafka’s “Metamorphosis”.
All of our texts deal with transformation, or change, in some fashion. While some discuss actual physical transformations, others present metamorphoses that are more metaphorical or abstract. Discuss how at least two different texts engage the idea of transformation.
