community review memo

Your name:
Print this memo and turn it in along with your first portfolio.
The purpose of this document is to reflect on your work and your learning in WRA 101. To do so, youll first assess your rhetorical decisions in Portfolio One. Then youll determine both what youd like to improve about your writing and what steps you can take toward improvement.TASK ONE
Think back over the work youve done in Portfolio One. What decisions did you make as you worked toward your final community review draft? How did those decisions affect your writerly voice, your connection with your audience, or the content of the review itself? How did those decisions affect the organization and style of the review? Write a short story (~250 words) about writing your community review. Focus in on the decisions you made during the writing process and how you felt during and afterward about yourself as a writer.TASK TWO
What were your writing-related strengths in this portfolio? List your top two strengths below. Then, under each strength, use around 150 words to (1) provide evidence from your writing process (from your notes, your drafts, your peer review, etc.) and/or your Task One story that demonstrates the strength. Quote or paraphrase the evidence itself. Then (2) analyze the evidence to explain how and why that evidence proves you have that strength as a writer.

Then, under each challenge, use around 150 words to (1) provide evidence from your writing process (from your notes, your drafts, your peer review, etc.) and/or your Task One story that demonstrates the challenge. Quote or paraphrase the evidence itself. Then (2) analyze the evidence to explain how and why that evidence proves you had that challenge as a writer.
Challenge 1:Challenge 2:TASK FOUR
Read over your story, your strengths and weaknesses, and the shared learning outcomes for WRA 101. Then, set three new goals for yourself in WRA 101. These goals should be specific and achievable, and they should relate to how you see yourself as a writer, your professional or personal life goals, or both. Under each goal, briefly (~50 words) explain why you want to achieve it. Then explain in specific detail (~50 words) how youll work toward it.
Goal 1:
Why do you want to achieve this goal?
What specific things will you do to help you achieve this goal?
Goal 2:
Why do you want to achieve this goal?
What specific things will you do to help you achieve this goal?
Goal 3:
Why do you want to achieve this goal?
What specific things will you do to help you achieve this goal?
