Essay 3: As you read and wrote about in Project #2, in its 2011 term, the US Supreme Court decided two cases, Lafler v. Cooper and Missouri v. Frye, affirming a Sixth Amendment right to effective assistance of counsel during plea negotiations in criminal cases. In a 300-500 word essay, please respond to the following prompt: Explain fully the policy enunciated by the Court and explain the impact this policy will have on other governmental entities, including prosecutors and lower courts, and society at large.
