Based on your knowledge of American history/current events, pick an American Civic Hero from the past or present. Your essay must be no more than 3 pages long, 12 point, Times New Roman, include BOTH in-text citations and a Bibliography at the end. The body of the paper must include the following

a)A brief biography of the persons growing up, lessons learned, challenges faced, et cetera

b)Explains at least TWO civic responsibilities that the person embodied

c)Explains how this person went above and beyond the normal day to day routines of citizenship

d)Explains how this person challenged some common idea or notion (i.e. that it is impossible to make a difference in the world, etc) AND why this makes them a hero/heroine to you
