2 Supporting your Argument: i When supporting your argument, state the good consequences that will flow from your proposal. ii state the bad consequences that will be avoided. iii The ethical appeal for the proposal. In the first half of your easy, you may have appealed to your audience’s sense of what was wrong, the second half might be the time to appeal to them what is right. 3 It is important consider what is wrong with the others proposal. Unless you are the only one making the a proposal, you are in competition with others, and in competition it is unwise to ignore the existence of your opponent. It is better to acknowledge them and take them on, to show you are aware of the other proposals and refute them where logically possible.
