CHAPTER 9 REFLECTIONS DIRECTIONSThese assignments are intended to get you thinking about this course material and to let me know what you have been thinking about outside of specific class assignments. These reflections can be on any topics you choose, just let me know your thoughts. Here are some questions you might try to answer if you get stuck at any time:1) What did you learn this week? That is, what stood out to you that you continued thinking about outside of your specific time devoted to this class?
2) In what ways has your thinking on topics covered this week changed? For example: maybe you didnt understand something correctly before, but now you do. Or maybe you had preconceived notions about a concept or theory before covering this chapter, but now you have learned something to the contrary.
3) In what ways have you applied your knowledge from this last week to your personal experiences? For example:
a. Are there real world examples of concepts/theories you learned about this week?
b. Have you noticed concepts in action in your everyday life/current events?
4) Maybe you can connect theories/concepts from earlier in the course to what we are covering this week! Or, you could also connect theories and concepts from this course to other courses you are taking. This is a liberal arts education after all!WRITE ABOUT ANYTHING YOU WANT, JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE SHOWING ME THAT YOU ARE THINKING! DO NOT USE THESE AS AN OPINION SPACE, SHOW ME WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED!If you decide to use these Reflections as an avenue to air unsupported opinions you will lose significant, if not all, points for these assignments. Be a critical thinker!If you have any questions, make sure you ask me ASAP! Unanswered questions invariably lead to lost points!This assignment, like all written assignments in this course, should be: Typed, Double Spaced, 1 Inch Margins, Normal 12 Point Font (Times New Roman for Example), and Proofread.Also, all I need at the top of your paper is: Your Name, Your Course Number and Section Number, Then the Title of the Paper (Reflection Chapter X would be fine).These reflections should be at least a page long so you can show me how much you have learned this week in the current chapter.
