A companion of chaos is evil. Chaos can exist without evil, and evil can be present without evil. The article accompanying this assignment provides a simple system of typologies for the classification of evil. Your task is to classify events which are evil.
Part 1. For each of the four types of evil defined in the article, provide an example evil with the presence of chaos, and an example of each type of evil without chaos. For your examples, provide a hyperlinked reference for your example. You will have a total of eight examples. Up to five of the examples may have occurred in your life, and at least three examples must be historical. In a paragraph, explain your justification for the placement of the “evil” in the category you selected.
Part 2. a. Construct a four quadrant graph with vertical and horizontal axes, having both positive and negative values, and crossing at the coordinate of 0,0. One axis will be an order-chaos continuum, the other a good-evil continuum. Axes will be labeled accordingly.
b. Label each quadrant of the graph based on the variables composing the quadrant.
c. Provide each axis with three positive and negative coordinate points. The first point will indicate a minimal presence of the variable, the second point a moderate presence of the variable, and the third point and beyond, and extreme presence of the variable.
d. Prepare a list of each coordinate point of the axes of the graph (12, excluding 0,0). For each coordinate point, provide a functional definition for the point, with an illustrative example of each. You product will yield definitions of minimal, moderate and extreme levels of chaos, order, good and evil.
Part 3.
1. Using you graph and definitions created in Assignment 3, for the “lettered” events below, plot on your graph the designated events, placing on the graph the “letter” of the event you have assigned at the designated point of the graph, using the definitions you created.
2. For each “lettered event”, list the event, the assigned quadrant of the event, and the coordinates you assigned. Provide for each event, provide a narrative, justifying your placement of the event in the quadrant and the assignment of coordinate points you selected.
