Cell Phone Usage

Cell Phone Usage

Go to one of the student dining halls OR a restaurant around town. If the restaurant or area is big, choose a section of about 10 tables that are easily visible from where you are sitting. Act completely normal, you can even bring someone with you. Then you should watch the patrons and record how many people that are with others (in a group of 2 or more) that use their cell phones. Cell phone use is defined as using it for a voice call or touching it in any way. You should record ALL instances of cell phone usage for a minimum of one (1) hour.

follow the instructions on how to complete the experiment/observations. After completion of data collection, you should prepare a one (1) to one and one-half (1.5) page report of your observations. The paper should be in Times New Roman, Cambria, or Arial 12 point font and double-spaced. Tell me 1) what you did, 2) where you collected the data, 3) what you saw, and 4) why you think you saw what you saw (explanation of people’s behaviors).
