Using the topics covered in your textbook, as well as any additional resource, you will need to come up with a decision as to the guilt or innocence of the convicted. Could the murder have been committed by another person in the story? And why?

I am very open to what topic you will pick. The idea is that you learn and get an understanding for the subject matter in reference to the topic.

This course requires the submission of a scholarly research paper on a topic addressed in these instructions. The paper is required to have as its sources at least four (4) citations from the different chapters in the textbook, AND at least two responsible websites devoted to the study of criminal justice.

Explain your topic as if the reader has little to no knowledge of the subject matter or of the criminal justice system.

The paper should be 5-7 pages of scholarly work. (This does NOT include the title page, table of contents, bibliography) The paper is to be done as a MICROSOFT WORD document on a computer/word processor. Use 12 pt. font size. Use double-space line spacing.

Make sure that you cover a very short history of the overall case. State the topic relevancy and reliability. What types of situations would it be used in? …what has or has not been used in the case….or the failures that it has produced.
