COURSEWORK ASSIGNMENT
The assessment for this module is comprised of:
Individual Management Report (refer to assessment grid for marking criteria) of 4,000 words maximum.
You are asked to attend and actively participate in the tutorial sessions, build your portfolio of work to critically assess a contemporary business environment issue: globalisation, sustainability or corporate social responsibility (or another pertinent issue, at the discretion of your tutor) and develop a balanced debate around this issue via a management report, focusing on an organization/sector/country of your choice. Active participation in tutorial sessions will help you prepare each portion of the management report. Although this is an individual assignment, in order to facilitate your own learning, students may form study groups within their tutorials around an issue or sector.
To accomplish this, you will draft a management report of 4000 words in length focusing on the following format:
Executive Summary & Intro (250 words)

Main Body of Management Report
• Critically outline a contemporary, global business environment issue and its relevance to the world of work today ( 750 words)

• Critical identify an organization/sector and country and outline its relevance to exploring the issue above (750 words).

• Critically analyse the external environment for your chosen sector (using an analytical tool like PESTEL) in relation to your chosen research issue (1000 words)
• Critically analyse the internal environment for your chosen organization (focusing on a theoretical perspective such as culture, leadership etc.) in relation to your chosen research issue (1000 words)

Conclusions & Recommendations (250 words)

• References Cited. This section of the critical essay has no word limit, but must contain at the very least 10 quality academic journal article references cited in your critical essay.
