Furthermore, BA can also offer businesses the required support to improve their efficiency through an array of activities including capabilities and process automation and streamlining. Hence, greater reliance is placed on BA as the global infrastructure for information generation and gathering, seen as a paradigm
shift, making BA a topic of great interest to industries and academics alike. This innovative driven technology has strategically transformed business processes towards a more proactive and
dynamic service model for computation, communication and information capabilities responding to the needs of global markets. In this respect, this assignment is focusing on examining how Business Analytics can be deployed as a driver for organizations towards strategically positioning themselves globally. Your task in this assignment, as an IT manager at Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) “X”, is to:
1. Examine Business Analytics value creation within SMEs; in particular how BA can be utilised as a vehicle in supporting SMEs maintaining competitive advantage at global level
2. Discuss the impact of BA will have on the related economic, cultural, legal and demographics issues from a global and societal perspectives.
