Book Chapter Analysis
You will choose a book chapter from Pollak’s (2012) book and write a chapter analysis (chapter 1 – 9).
Your paper should be 700-1000 words long.
Structure of your paper:
• Introduction (around 100 words)
o The introduction should tell the reader what main points will be covered in your paper and the layout of your paper.
• Chapter summary (around 300 words)
• Section that reflects your own opinion about that chapter (around 250 words)
• Conclusion (around 100 words)
• References (APA style!!!!)

Do not forget that you need to cite the book chapter within your paper. (e.g. In chapter 3, Pollak (2012) discusses the importance of proper interview etiquette)

Introduction
This paper summarizes Chapter 1 of Pollak’s (2012) book “Getting form College to Career”. Chapter 1 deals with organizational and practical aspects of how to transition successfully into a career after graduation. Topics of this chapter include avoiding of mistakes when job hunting, proper strategies to become competitive in the market place and various other important tactics to find meaningful employment.
In the next section of this paper, I will summarize the main points covered in Pollak’s (2012) Chapter 1. This is followed by my personal reflections on the arguments and suggestions proposed by Pollak (2012). Finally, I will recap my findings and my discussion in the conclusion section of this paper. 112 words

In this section, you should have an introductory line and then divide up the section according to the topics covered in the particular chapter. This section should be around 300 words

Personal Reflection
Here you offer your personal reflection on what you think about the points raised in the particular chapter. For example, you might agree with one point, while not agreeing at all with another. In this section, you should elaborate on these issues. This section should be around 200 words

Conclusion
This section should summarize your main points. This section should be around 100 words

References
APA style. In this case, all you need to do is to properly reference the Pollak’s (2012) book!
