This article is a classic and, therefore, dated. Look at some of the practices in our society today. Choose one cultural practice that is considered “normal” in our culture. You can take the example from any sphere of life, including sports, entertainment, shopping, dining, or others.
Next, describe that cultural practice the way Miner describes it. How would the description of the cultural practice change the way our culture and people are viewed by an outsider?
