Team presentation and written summary Each student is required to work with their team to present a summary of one of the class readings to the class. These papers and proposed presentation dates are listed on D2L and students may select their groups by joining one of the D2L groups. Both the class presentation and written summary should address the following questions: 1. What is the major point? 2. What evidence does the author bring to support their argument/main point? What is the hypothesis of the author? What is the methodology used to address the issue? What are the results? 3. Do you find the evidence/argument compelling? What are the pros and cons of the studys approach? What questions remain? 4. What about the reading surprised you most? What is your perspective on the issue? Written summaries should be 23 pages, with 1-inch margins, and double-spaced size 12 Times New Roman font. Summaries are due at the beginning of class on your teams presentation date. Each member of the team must contribute to the final output. Your team will receive one grade for both the summary and presentation. Summaries and presentations will be graded on the following: 1. The clarity and completeness of the description of what the paper is about and the main findings (see questions 1 & 2 above); 2. The quality of the discussion of how the author(s) came to their conclusions and your teams analysis of the study approach and findings (see questions 3 & 4 above); and 3. The organization of the overall presentation and summary.
