Becoming a Registered Nurse

As you are nearing the completion of your program, many of you will have been employed in various roles, from assistants in nursing, carers or enrolled nurses, to working in the hospitality/retail sector. Some of you may not have been employed at all. Many of you will know by now whether or not you are employed next year as a graduate nurse.
What challenges do you see with this transition role change and what strategies will you engage in to deal with these changes?
You are permitted to write in first person for the above question, with of course, reference to the literature to support your ideas.
The answer should not exceed 400 words. Please dont go above 400 words. Please see below the comments from my teacher from the last assignment. Please take care of the following comments. Main concern is the format of it. These assignments require you to discuss the issues. Providing dot points is a somewhat limiting way of presenting your discussion. It minimises your ability to demonstrate critical analysis skills. Please consider using paragraphs and deepening your discussion in future assignments. Many statements throughout this paper are not referenced. It is important, especially at this stage of your course that you correctly and appropriately reference your sources of information

Assessment #2 – Assignment Part B
Assignment PART B: Critical Analysis Paper (2000 words) (40%) (Graded) Due date is Friday November 13, 2015 at 5:00 PM

This assignment requires you to choose and critically analyse an issue that you have identified as being important to you as a beginning registered nurse. Building upon your e-journal entries and readings, this assignment requires that you read further around your issue of interest and critically analyse the literature to consider the implications for your practice.

This section of the assessment allows you to demonstrate that you are able to independently construct new understandings of the course content and demonstrate an ability to translate evidence based knowledge into practice

For this assignment please choose ONE e-Portfolio entry from either topics ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR OR FIVE ONLY.

Please discuss the selected issue in greater detail with reference to academic literature explaining how this issue will inform your transition to professional practice as a beginning registered nurse.
Please write on Topic 5:- SAFETY & QUALITY AND THE REGISTERED NURSE.
Please use the question you answered for topic 5 which is as below:
How do registered nurses maintain their safety and promote quality in practice, particularly when they may be required to work in a diverse range of practice settings, often at short notice?

Please see below the comments from my teacher for Assessment 2 – Part B:
“For those that have asked, you do not answer the topic question again in Part B and you are certainly not to copy and paste work you submitted for Part A. That said, you may indicate in your introduction of your assignment for Part B that you selected a particular issue from one of the questions/topics discussed previously in the course for instance, social media and that you will discuss an aspect of this in your paper. For example, the advantages of social media for the delivery of nursing care in rural and remote settings. You are certainly able to draw upon the reference material that you used in Part A in of your assignment that deals with your chosen topic if you need to but you will need to show that you have read more broadly. Essentially, in Part B you are to elaborate on a topic, show that have done further work and not have simply regurgitated what you did in Part A. I hope this helps clarify.”
With a 2000 word assessment piece and that we have asked that you use a scholarly approach, this means that there is a degree of formality to it. have a brief introduction, of whether you are choosing to extend a topic activity question, or that you are talking about something that is related to the topic itself. You then have the body of the paper which looks at the issue in greater depth, that it explore the significant factors, that it unpacks a problem in practice and looks at strategies to address the situation. a short conclusion should finish the paper.
