After a careful reading of Beckwith’s paper A Critique of Moral Relativism, answer the second discussion question at the end of the paper. When you present and explain the argument and problems mentioned in the question, be careful to do this as clearly and precisely as you can.
It is very important that you do this well, because before you can agree or disagree with some idea or theory, and before you can correctly go about arguing against or arguing for some view, that idea must be understood as accurately as possible.
When you go on to agree or disagree with the ideas you have explained, be sure to defend your answer as well as possible. This will involve some critical thinking of your own, which requires going beyond understanding what someone else has said to making an evaluation of it in the effort to determine whether it is true or not.
Other requirements:
• Type the assignment, using 12 pt. font, Times New Roman, 1” margins on each side;
• in the top left corner, single spaced, include your name, the due date, the course number and title, and “Response Paper”;
• for the rest of the paper, use double spacing;
• the overall length should be about 1 1/2 to 2 pages;
• use good paragraph structure;
• write with clarity and precision;
• avoid grammatical and spelling errors;
• avoid lengthy quotes (more than about a sentence or two)
