I am a ninth grader who lives in Detroit,Mi. The Flint, Mi water crisis is an issue. It is environmental racism. No city in America should have undrinkable water in their household. Flint, Mi is surrounded by the Great Lakes. That water is some of the freshest water in the world. Many children are being exposed to lead. Lead poisoning will cause severe brain damage. That damage is irreversible. People have died from Legionaires disease due to the water they were drinking. I think each household should be given money by the government to relocate. I think housing opportunities and job opportunities should be offered by surrounding communities.
