Final Assessment:
Write two (2) essays of between 4 and 6 pages each supporting two of the following five (5) questions.
1. Globalization, as a goal and a practice is beneficial.
2. Outsourcing leads to widespread economic benefits and preserves national security.
3. Understanding cultural frameworks will not always lead to successful international partnerships.
4. All international businesses must be environmentally sustainable.
5. Government nationalization of foreign businesses within their borders will lead to increased benefits for indigenous peoples.
You must use at least 5 outside references. These outside references should include at least 1 academic journal, at least 1 professional journal and at least two (2) high quality mainstream press references. Use of Wikipedia or Google will result in failure.
• Examples of high quality mainstream press include The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. There are others.
• High quality sources do not include USA Today, People Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Playboy or E!. There are other similar (bad) examples which you can discern.
You must use proper grammar, spelling, capitalization, etc. Do not use words you normally do not use. Use words you are comfortable using and know what they mean.
Keep sentences simple. Stay with 1 idea per sentence. Similar, or closely linked ideas form the basis of a paragraph.
Construct logical, fact based arguments. Everything you say, or advocate, must be supported by facts, evidence and examples.
Do not assume that the reader knows anything. You should approach this as you would explain to a child.
You must use APA citations. Make sure you cite ideas, facts and opinions (even if they are in your own words!) that you got from doing your research.
(HINT:) You should expect to spend more time reading and thinking rather than writing. Most of your writing time should be spent on editing and revising.
